Bio

Celeste’s budding passion for fashion and illustration started at the age of 11, when she sketched her first clothing line - models elaborately adorned with striped thigh high stockings and large flower appliques. As she got older, her interest in fashion steadily grew. Growing up in Seattle during the grunge/alternative rock era influenced her style, giving her drawings edgy character. Through high school, she would doodle fashion illustrations during class, and picked up an interest in hand sewing and embroidery.

After graduating from The Art Institute of Seattle in 1999 with a degree in fashion design, and working as a weaver, she obtained her first job in the embroidery department at a sportswear company. Since then, she has gathered experience in product development, apparel design, and jewelry design. She has five years of experience working for established and reputable companies in New York and Los Angeles as a graphics and accessories designer.

Celeste’s passion for design isn’t limited to fashion. She is also a self-trained graphic and web designer, having several years of experience creating graphics and repeat patterns for accessories, as well as two years of experience doing freelance branding and web design for several respected companies. Whether it be fashion or graphic design, her aim in all of her projects is to create a thoughtful, high quality product.

Celeste is also a songwriter and visual artist. She is always looking for resources and inspiration for all of her creative endeavors, and continually pushes herself to learn about the latest available processes and applications.
